Decided to try Rhosneigr on a bank holiday despite fearing crowds on the water, problems parking and too much traffic. In fact, with an early start there was no traffic and I was lucky enough to find a parking spot at the front. Plenty on the water, but it was not too bad most of the time. Rad Wave 69 and 4.7 - lovely.

Sail felt a little overpowered in the gusts so cranked on more downhaul - on the next run out I was wallowing around - wind appeared to have dropped a little. Take off down haul again and then nicely powered in the main - a few lulls, but no real problem. North Power XT was excellent. Tried turning frontside on small waves, but turned too wide and ended up way in front of the wave. Managed a decent planing gybe on a peaking wave on the outside, but mainly crash and burn.

Waves better around mid-tide, but the lulls seemed longer or I was getting tired so called it a day. Every road and side road in town was parked up with windsurfers and holiday makers - the place was crammed to overflowing. A55 was a long crawl - only to be expected, but it had been a good day.
